Minimum Requirements for Graduation

All students that are candidates for a degree must have at least a 2.0 (4.0 is an A) average for all course work taken at UIUC and at least a 2.0 average on combined transfer and UIUC course work. The Animal Sciences Department requires 126 credit hours for graduation, regardless of the option in which the student is enrolled.

In addition, students are required to spend either the first three years (earning not less than 90 semester hours) or the last year (earning not less than 30 hours) in residence on the Urbana- Champaign campus uninterrupted by work elsewhere. Credit earned by proficiency examinations, correspondence courses, Advanced Placement exams, or extramural course work will count toward the first 90 hours of residency but not the last 30 hours.
